88年の『トップをねらえ！』で注目され、89年の『魔動王グランゾート』、90年の『勇者エクスカイザー』とロボットアニメが相次いで、91年に放送された本作は、田中公平さんにとってロボットアニメ音楽のひとつの到達点ではないでしょうか。このあと田中さんは、翌年（92年）の『バスタード』あたりから仕事を減らして、一つ一つの作品にじっくりと取り組む “量より質” の方向にシフトしていきます。『サクラ大戦』『勇者王ガオガイガー』『ワンピース』でファンになった方にもおすすめしたい作品です。せっかくＤＶＤ-ＢＯＸが発売されたのですから、ＢＯＸにこだわらず再販を考えてみては。

最高ですね!10年以上ぶり?に引っ張り出して聴きましたが、全く色褪せてない!discヴォーカル集のFRIENDSや、僕たちからありがとう、ドリームシフト..discBGM集ではご存知、田中公平先生!discドラマ集は地球防衛組の反乱など、これまた懐かしい。discカラオケ集と8枚思いきりライジンオーに浸れる全集でした。ライジンオーファンならずとも聴いて損はない!だって、絶対日頃耳にしてる音楽が入ってますから。
