5.0 out of 5 stars その「行く先」を想像したい、登場人物たちの魅力, 2002/6/10
映画館で予告を見たときに、まず、なんて私の好きそうなストーリーだろうと思った。
本編を見て、直感が間違っていなかったことに感謝した。
登場人物たち、ひとりひとりの生い立ちが、断片的に本編に盛り込まれてはいるけれど、それらを材料にして、いくらでも別の話が作れそうなほど、カルテットに出てくるキャラクターは魅力的だ。

映画は、そんな彼らのほんの一時期を描いた短編でもあると思うし、彼らの生き方に大きく影響を及ぼした事件を描いた長編でもあると思う。
心の中で、この映画のあとの彼らの活躍や、日常生活風景を想像して、私は楽しんでいる。

最初は映像の綺麗な音楽映画という印象でしたが劇中流れる音楽が観終わった後もずっと残り何度も観てしまいました。ストーリーも展開も無駄なくテンポが良いし、自分なりのイメージもとても広がります。監督の音楽への想いが俳優たちからしっかり伝わってきました。海辺のシーンは本当に美しく印象的です。袴田吉彦がすごく頑張っていて本当のバイオリニストの様です。ラブシーンを排除したと聞きましたが、切なさや想いがしっかり感じられます。静かですが情熱を感じる映画でした。音楽家の世界が羨ましい・・・

　出会いは深夜の映画番組でした。何気なく点けていたテレビから、流れる音楽に吸い寄せられた。

　なんと言っても音楽が凄い。話の流れは先が分かるという感じだが、映像と音楽がマッチしていて、ついつい身を乗り出して見入ってしまった。個人的に好きなサイダー・ハウス・ルールという、作品と比べても引けはとらないはずだ。久石譲って、凄いなと改めて思い直しました。

　元気がない時や、嫌なことがあった時に観ると、観終わった頃には元気を与えてくれる作品です。
