　今回も延々とバカ騒ぎ。舞台は一応、宇宙えと変わりますが、いまだに情勢がどうなっているのか不明。最果ての地(!?)ラビアンローズにもまだまだ道のりは遠いという、なんともスローテンポなストーリーですなあ。
　しかし、キャラクター、新型MSなど新要素は目白押し。
お坊ちゃま、グレミー・トト登場。後々あれほどの主要人物になるとはこのときは露ほども思いませんでした。さらにこのころは「マシュマー様ー」って慕っていたのね(笑)。
　んで失敗続きのマシュマロは一時更迭。代わって危ない姉さんキャラ・スーンが指揮を執ります。ゴットンの変わり身の速さには笑いました。彼も後々化けますね。
　そして早くも主役MSダブルゼーダが登場。しかし、合体なんて・・、まるで戦隊物ですなあ。
　メカといえば、ゼータザク。・・・・やりすぎもほどほどに、といった感じですね。
　今回のゴットン・ゴーの名言「出来の悪い上司をもつと、任務も命がけ」本当に上司に恵まれない人でした。というかアクシズの人材不足は深刻だ。だからみんな強化されまくってしまったのだろうなあ。

僕はカミーユが好きなので、カミーユびいきをするが、ジュドーも悪いやつではない。嫌いではない。ただもっとカミーユの出番を！！！

　これまでのガンダムシリーズには見られなかったユーモアがこのＺＺには満載ですね。それまでがシリアスな作品だったが故に、「新境地開拓！」とでも言うか・・・ドタバタ劇のような（まるでタイムボカン・シリーズのような？）、しかし話の筋としてはそれまでのガンダム・シリーズ同様、上手く成り立っているから安心です。ここまでユーモラスの描かれるものなんですね、ガンダムというのは。その点、凄いと思う。シリアスなだけじゃないんですね。メカ･デザインも前作「Ｚ」同様､カッコいいし、話の筋も前作同様､シッカリしてますから往年のガンダム･ファンにも安心してオススメできます。
　ゼータとダブルゼータは視聴率が芳しくなったそうですが､私のいた中学では大流行でしたよ。その理由として最も正確に評論しているのが､ゼータのオリジナルサウンドトラック版の解説書で､それには｢この作品は誤解があった。それはウルトラマンを観たがってた人たちに武田信玄を見せたようなものだからだ。｣というのがあり､それを見て｢あ､なるほど･･･｣と思った。これは大人向けなのだ｡だから子供が見たら｢つまらない。｣になる。しかし私は子供だったが､存分に楽しめたのだが…今でも楽しめる。
