   高知県土佐で青春時代を過ごした青年・拓が、帰省する飛行機の中で高校時代を回想していく。そのなかには、両親の離婚のため東京から引っ越してきた、成績・運動ともに優秀でありながらも、誰にも心を開こうとしない少女・里伽子の存在があった…。
   スタジオジブリの若手スタッフが中心となって作り上げた青春TVアニメ・ムービーで、後に劇場公開。監督は『めぞん一刻　完結編』などの望月智充が担当している。作画枚数など他のジブリ作品に比べると見劣りするが、そこを逆手にとっての淡々とした味わいが、独特の好ましい雰囲気を醸し出している。また、それは現代の若者ならではの淡白さをも露呈させているような気もしてならない。氷室冴子の原作は、その後武田真治主演によるTVドラマ化もなされている。（的田也寸志）

僕にとっては夏の恒例となってしまった作品。
観ているとなんとも言えない爽やかさがあっていい。
携帯もパソコンもなかったけど、あの時代に青春を送れた人たちが僕には何だか羨ましく感じてしまう不思議な作品です。
夏が近づいたらぜひ観ていただきたい作品。

~高知の出身でもない、主人公みたいにかっこ良くも頭もよくもない、、、
そしてなにより、こんな素敵な恋をした事もない、、、、
それなのに、なぜか自分の高校生時代を思い出して、ほんとに淡かった恋を
主人公とダブらせてしまいます。まるで自分の思い出のように、主人公の
気持ちが浮かんでくるんです。気持ちが入って行くと言うのはこの事を
~~
言うんだなぁ、、って、初めて体験しました。
原作は氷室冴子さんの同名小説。男性ながら氷室ファンの私は、発売日に
購入。そのまま本の中に入ってしまいました。以来、高知に毎年行っては、
「海が聞こえる」に出てくる場所を歩いて物語を思い出しています。
「等身大の若者の姿が、、」なんて宣伝されている言葉では伝えきれない<BR!>魅力があります。~

原作が氷室冴子さんとあり、武藤理伽子という１７、８歳の少女の心の繊細さや、とげとげしさがこれぞとばかりリアルに表現されており、男の私としては理解は仕切れないが分かるという喉に物が詰まったような気持ちになりました。

これは、おそらく大人になるに従い、自分自身が合理的に行動するようになり、細かい心境や思いを理解できなくなりつつあることへの警告であると感じます。ですので「海がきこえる」を見る人はこの主人公達の描く複雑でラフな心境をそのままの形で受け取ろうとすれば、日常の合理性から抜けだし、自身の青春時代にプレイバックできるのではないでしょうか？忘れかけていた何かに気付くかもしれません。

また少し失礼ですが、原作が女性とあり、よく男性が描く「力」で話が還元されるような単純な思想が根底にはないので、気持ちよく、先が予想できず興味を描きながら見れます。

お薦めです。
