　さてこの巻の見所です。段々とストーリーが動き始めました。このディスクは見所が多いですよ。
　ヘンケン艦長のエマえの恋物語編スタート。さらにヘンケン、フォン・ブラウン市にてバーガー店員に化ける。似合いすぎ。
　オールドタイプの勇、ライラ・ミラ・ライラさん戦死。ジェリドと関わったために・・・。合掌。
　ケバケバMS「百式」登場。派手すぎ・・。
　カイ・シデン登場。しかしジャングルにあのスーツ姿は・・・。当時大笑い。
　カミーユ・ビダン、フォン・ブラウンにてウォン・リー氏に修正というか、どつかれる。そこでカミーユの迷台詞「暴力はよくない!!」って・・・・、お前が言うな!!
　連ちゃんしてエマにも修正されました。その鬱憤は地上にて、シャアをぶん殴ってはらす(それは次巻にて)
　真面目なところでは、ついにこのストーリー真の敵パプティマス・シロッコ登場。そして地球圏にその影を見せ始めた、ジオンの残党アクシズと、伏線が徐々に張られていきます。ポイントの多いディスクでしょう。

「サイド1の脱出」である。ライラ・ミラ・ライラは惜しいキャラクターだった。地球連邦軍の女戦士。だが、ティターンズではない。作画監督が間違えるほど、「Z」は複雑な世界だった。ライラVSカミーユのMS戦は息詰まる死闘となる。その戦いでカミーユは＜ニュータイプ＞としての能力を初めて垣間見せ、ライラは己の＜オールドタイプ＞の業を自覚しながら散る。しかし、その戦闘能力は明らかに＜ニュータイプ＞のそれだった。

カミーユとの戦闘により、早くもライラが散る。ティターンズ側のメインキャラになると思っていたので意外だったが、戦争というものはそういうものなのだろう。誰がいつ死ぬのかなんて判る筈もない。彼女はジェリドに対して「いい男になれる素質がある」と言っていたが、残念ながらその素質は一生開花しない。素質はあるのだが運がない。彼は純粋すぎるが故に不幸なのだ。なんとも悲惨な話である。

第３巻は、「１ｓｔ」で活躍したカイやハロの再登場、『Z』のラスボスであるパプティマス・シロッコの登場、ブライトとクワトロの初トークなど見所が多い。「クワトロ大佐」とカマをかけるブライトと、「私は大尉です、ブライト中佐」と軽く否定するクワトロのやりとりは面白かった。『Z』には多くのキャラクターが登場するが、一人一人の性格がその言動にはっきりと表れている。だからこそインパクトのある台詞が多く、ストーリーが奥深いものになっているのだと思う。第９話で、カミーユは「僕に見込みはありません。自閉症の子供なんだ。」という台詞を吐く。こんな事を言うアニメの主人公など見たことがない。根暗なメカヲタクだったアムロ・レイよりも彼の心は病んでいる。戦時下においては、倫理的に行動できる人間のほうがある意味異常であるので、彼の言動は当然の事なのかもしれないが・・・。

第３巻は、カミーユのニュータイプ能力の肥大、物語を引っ張る人物たちの登場など、物語が広がりを見せつつあるので、なかなか見応えのある１本だった。
