   馬場信浩『落ちこぼれ軍団の奇跡』が原作。荒廃しきった高校に、元オールジャパンの名フランカー、滝沢賢治（山下真司）が1人乗り込み、学園を、そして生徒たちを立ち直らせて、やがて高校ラグビーで全国優勝を成し遂げる物語。滝沢と家族や同僚の教師、生徒たちの姿を通して描く、84年から放送され、今も色あせることのない人気ドラマだ。
   滝沢がラグビーのコーチをしている姿を、校内暴力吹き荒れる川浜高校の校長に見い出され、教師としてスカウト。妻の反対を押し切って引き受けるまでを描く第1話『それは涙で始まった』。学園の荒廃を目の当たりにしつつも、ラグビー部のコーチとなって徐々に心を開く生徒が出てくる第2話『泥まみれのニュースーツ』。教師の一部も滝沢の熱意に打たれ、協力を始める第3話『謎の美少女』。第1巻では、この3話が収録されている。（田中 元）

何より熱い！熱すぎる！！今改めて見ても、しっかりとしたストーリーと登場人物の個性が上手く描かれていて、あっというまに引き込まれてしまう。和田アキコや梅宮辰夫の演技もかなり良い味を出していて、山下信司にいたっては、あまりにもはまり役。超問題児たちが集まる弱小ラグビー部を、根からたたき直していく先生の奮闘記。滝沢先生が何より大事にする「他人を思いやる心」が、何かを見失ってしまった不良達と真っ向からぶつかり合う。「泣き虫先生」という副題だが、先生が流す涙はあまりにも熱い。すべてのドラマやスポーツ漫画の原点とも言える、超名作。最近のドラマにはない、本当の感動がこの作品にはある。是非お勧め！

このドラマを見てラグビーを始めた人が続出した、実話を元にした作品の第1話から第3話までを収録しています。 特に水原が先生の家でラグビーをやっていれば、、、と涙を流すシーンが、もう涙なくしては見ることができません。

会社の帰りに読んでいた日刊ゲンダイの広告欄に
衝撃の記事が載っていた。
『買ってから泣け！』スクール☆ウォーズのＤＶＤ化の広告であった。
翌日全巻予約を入れた。

（１）には、その後のドラマにつながる名場面が多いですが、
賢治（山下真司）が山城校長（下川辰平）から
川浜高校への赴任を打診されるシーンと思っています。

「根っからのワルはいない」
「みんな素直な子供達だった」

山城の打診に戸惑う賢治。

ある日山城の信念を揺るがす事件が起きたとき
賢治は川浜高校への赴任を決意する。

「信じ・待ち・許す」
中学時代の恩師、藤山から教えられた言葉とともに
「信頼」と「愛」を体を張って伝えに行くために。

２１年も前に放送されたものですが
決して色あせることのない、人間物語だと思うのです。

実際モデルになった高校が家の近くだっただけにとってもリアルです。
滝沢監督も本物はもっと熱い人！
これを見て現代の若者も熱くなってほしいね。
