   ジャズ曲のソロからバンドネオン協奏曲まで、編成やスタイルの上でかなり変化に富んだ内容を持つ選曲だが、このアルバムの心臓部は、「ラ・トランペーラ~うそつき女」と「エル・ジョロン~泣き虫」ではないだろうか。なぜかといえば、この2曲によって表現されるタンゴの上機嫌な部分、明るく楽しい部分が、リスナーに最もまっすぐ向かってくるからだ。前者のウキウキするような気分、後者のアフロ・キューバン音楽やジャズにも通じる高揚感は、特に若い世代に支持されるはずだ。

   それ以外の曲で小松は、手品師のように見事な手際でタンゴの豊かなヴァリエーションを次々に披露していく。バンドネオン・ソロで演奏される「ターン・アウト・ザ・スターズ」はジャズ・ピアニストのビル・エヴァンスが書いた曲で、いかにもエヴァンスらしい印象派風の和音やカウンター・メロディーが新鮮に響く。ピアソラの「バンドネオン・コンチェルト」は本来、弦楽セクションを中心に30人以上を要する大編成だが、ここでは9人からなるタンゴ・バンドのための音楽として演奏している。

   ピアソラ作品ではもう1曲、いまやタンゴを代表する有名曲となった「リベルタンゴ」が入っている。この曲における小松のトリックは、ギター奏者2人を従えたトリオというめずらしい編成による編曲を用いたことだ。秘密めいたイントロがなんともにくい。

   曲目解説は小松自身。ライヴでの巧妙なトークの雰囲気がかすかに伝わってきて楽しい。（松本泰樹）

このアルバムはタンゴのポピュラーなもの（リベルタンゴ）から、昔のタンゴまで幅広く入っているのでタンゴの初心者でも十分に楽しめる一枚だと思います。
