元トワ・エ・モワといっても30年近く前の話なので、知る人も少なくなったかも。しかしその透明感のある歌声はまったく変わらない、白鳥英美子の新作。彼女は最近、国民的RPG『ファイナルファンタジーIX』のエンディング・テーマ「Melodies Of Life」で再び注目を浴びたが、その曲の日本語版、英語版、ア・カペラという3ヴァージョンのほかに、過去のFFの代表的なテーマ曲に新たに詞をつけたものも収録された。アイルランド民謡、自作曲なども歌っており、バラエティにあふれた、清涼感いっぱいの仕上がりとなった。 (楡崎明生) --- 2000年10月号

白鳥さんの歌を初めて聴いたのが「ﾌｧｲﾅﾙﾌｧﾝﾀｼﾞｰ９」のｴﾝﾃﾞｨﾝｸﾞでした。
聴いてて速攻で「あ！いいなこの曲！」と思って、店で探しまくって
このアルバムを買いました。一人で聴くことが多いけど、歌声やメロディに
癒されて優しい気持ちになれたりします！ストレスとか、イライラしてたり

・・・って時に白鳥さんの歌声聴くとスーッとします。

　白鳥さんの歌との出合いは、FF9のEDテーマでした。その曲を聞いた時からファンになってしまい、このアルバムを購入しました。

　10曲目のMessage~虹~はFFおなじみの『ファイナルファンタジー』が原曲ですが、今回は植松さんのアレンジに加え、白鳥さんの美しい歌声によって別の曲になってしまった気もしました。とにかくすばらしいです。心の底からいいな~って思いますよ。癒されます。

白鳥英美子さんというと、その歌声の美しさで有名ですが、
単に｢きれいな声で唄っている｣というだけの作品ではありません。
曲を聴きながら、歌詞を｢読んで｣みてください。
人それぞれだとは思いますが、私は深い感銘を受けました。

寝起きにも寝入りにもいいアルバムだと思います。
いい一日が始まり、いい夢を見れそうですよ。
