麻美さんほど、アンニュイなヨーロッパの
雰囲気が合う女性はいない。
このアルバムも、とても、品性のある上質
な音楽に仕上がっている。
どの楽曲も、麻美さんの甘い歌声に程よく
溶け込んで、まさに上出来。
ずっと残していきたいアルバムのひとつだ。

当時から小林麻美さんの歌声と歌詞にひかれていました。改めて見直すと、彼女に提供された楽曲の作詩は圧倒的にユーミンによるものが多く、
作詩・作曲ユーミンのものも多いではありませんか!

私のおすすめは「飯倉グラフィティー」や「GREY」です。最近ユーミンがセルフカバーアルバムを出しましたが、「飯倉グラフィティー」は是非ご本人にもカバーしていただきたいです。16才の少女が背伸びして飯倉片町のお店で大人の世界にあこがれている感じは、小林麻美さんとユーミンのどちらの姿も重なります。

他に玉置浩二さん作曲の「哀しみのスパイ」「アネモネ」、大貫妙子さん作の「ひき潮」と、名曲がそろっています。

初めて「雨音はショパンの調べ」を聞いたのは小学生！アイドルとは違う衝撃を受けたのを覚えてます。今聞いても衝撃を受けるほどの声ですね。
