サイズ入門といえばまず『ノンフィクション』。それは間違いではない。
だが、そのサイズ独特の冷たい打ち込みの美学をさらに突き詰めている
のが、この一枚。他にないサイズならではの魅力はこの一枚に詰まって
いる。

特に感動的な一曲が「Lemonの勇気」。窮地の向こうにある希望という
テーマは松浦氏の作曲で十全な表現を得た。

打ち込みが冷たいほど、そこにこめられた心が温かい。

サイズ4作目の傑作です。コンピュータによる無機質なサウンドに安則まみによる極力感情を抑えたボーカルが絶妙なニュアンスで絡みあい淡々と進行していきます。このままのスタンスで終わるのかと思わせながら、5曲目の名曲「レモンの勇気」では、打ち込みサウンドのの向こうにある、人間的な温かみと文字通りの「勇気と希望」を聴く者に与えてくれます。染み入るような無機質さとそれに相反するヒューマニズム。初めて聴いたときから「どうしてなのだろう？」と考えていましたが、どうやら友情参加のギタリスト「いまみちともたか」（バービー・ボーイズ）によるエモーショナルなギターによるところが大きいのではないでしょうか。

レコードからCDへ以降していた80年代後半、遅ればせながらプレーヤーを購入した僅かな余力で買ったCDが、本作『mint‐electric』なのです。ジャケットの色合いとセンス、アルバムタイトル、タイトル曲とも言える「電気とミント」はPSY・Sというユニットのカラーを最も表していると思います。電気的デジタルクールとミント的アナログクールがせめぎあうパッション! 名曲「Lemmonの勇気」、対とも言える「Cubic Lovers」、「Sweet Tragedy」等 、聴きどころも多く、ハイクオリティと知名度とを獲得した、次作『Non‐Fiction』へと繋がっていく本作なのです。
