5.0 out of 5 stars 大瀧”バンドサウンド”聴き納め, 2004/7/9
”ロンバケ”が親戚のお姉さんたちの音楽だった、いわゆる”後追い世代の僕にとっては、
当１STソロアルバムのほうが断然好みです。
初めて聴いた時、時代はすでに９０年代半ばであり、録音されてから２０年以上経っていたにもかかわらず
自分が大学生だったことも手伝ってか、このアルバムの普段着っぽさが、とても身近な音楽に感じたものです。
（安っぽいのではなくて、必要以上に着飾っていないって事ね！）
本人もライナーで書いていますが、確固としたソロ意識のもとで作られた訳ではないことが、
その後のナイアガラ作品との違いになって表れているようです。サウンドもバンド寄りです。
特にバラード「乱れ髪」は甘いだけでなく、影があり、やや重い情緒も漂わせて最高。
「五月雨」「びんぼう」などロックナンバーは鈴木茂のギターがファンキーで初期ドゥービーズも顔負けなほどノリノリです。
お勧めします。特に若者には生活のサウンドトラックにぜひ。

アルバム全体の統一感は乏しいのですが、１つ１つの曲の質が高く粒ぞろいで次作の『ナイアガラムーン』と並んで大瀧の音博物館的大名盤だと思います。「橙いろの空の光~」とはじまる大瀧のヴォーカルとギターのみによるシンプルな名曲♯5、駒沢裕城のゆる~いペダルスティールに松本隆の詞がのったまるで日だまりの中にいるような温かさに満ちた♯6、ファンキーなギターソロからはじまるノベルティーソングの名曲♯8、けだる~い朝の憂鬱な気分を歌ったジャズイーな♯12、松本隆独特の詞世界がしっとりと展開する♯14など全曲捨て曲なし。これから大瀧を聴こうとするならまずこのアルバムからがお勧めです。

この作品ははっぴいえんど時代ほどロック的な内容ではありませんがとにかく名曲が多くメロディも大変美しいです。この人は、大変歌唱法も多彩なので聞いててとても飽きません。まさに名曲箱といっていい内容。
