当時はフジテレビ製作の日本香港合作SFXアクション大作としてかなり宣伝されており、知名度はかなりあったが、なぜかDVD化もされていない不思議な作品。香港側からはユンピヨウやリューチャーフィーなどの一流のアクションスターが出ているが、肝心の主役の三上博の驚異的な運動神経のなさから、主役がまるで動かないという残念な結果となっている。大作の触れ込みのくせに、始まりはモロテレビドラマみたいな雰囲気ですし・・。当時製作側と衝突した三上博が主役なのにプロモーションに殆ど参加しないという制作側の裏事情が垣間見れたりもした。ＳＦＸも今から見ると、ハリボテ感が漂うが、そういうB級っぽい感じが逆に楽しい。当時の小学生は殆ど劇中で三上が披露する印を組めたものだ。
