プロコフィエフの知られざる側面をも、深く掘り下げた演奏。
同時代の音楽家の中でもとりわけ多面性のあるプロコフィエフの肖像を浮かび上がらせた素晴らしい演奏。
特に、第２番では、作曲者自身の魂の声が聴こえるような、稀有の名演。

いかなる音楽的潮流にもつねに敏感でありながら、決して自己を欺くことのなかった複雑なユートピスト、プロコフィエフの実像に迫る貴重な記録だと思う。

久々に出会った2枚。トラーゼのピアノ演奏に体を斬られるようだった。
特に秀逸なのが第2番。
何も無いところから登場してくるような、寂しげで硬質なピアノ独奏が続き、オーケストラは完全に蚊帳の外。ある悲劇を目にした人間の、寂しさと複雑さが入り混じったような楽想がひたすら続く。そうかと思うと次にテクニカルでハイテンポな楽想が混じり、めぐるましく構成が変化する。作者の意図を掴むのも難しいこの曲をトラーゼは自分のものにしているようで、迷い無く弾ききっている。

ゲルギエフのオーケストラもピアノを邪魔しない。

プロコフィエフの世界を十二分に表現しているといえる。
これを聴くとピアノ協奏曲は全て感動する。
プロコフィエフの音の魔術に酔わされる幸福感。
