数々の賞を取ったＣＤ。１９９６年は無名時代かなあ・・・もうかなり売れていたと思うけど・・・本人が言うならそうかなあ？

声は調子を崩す前なのでとても良いです。ただ、日本語が変。具体的には、母音と子音が外国語のそれ。クラシック歌手にはよくある、あるいは抜けにくい「くせ」です。彼の場合この後、それを急速に改善しています。才能があるのです。最も、賞をたくさん取ったＣＤなので、気にならない人には気にならないかも（でも賞の審査員が気にならないのは勉強不足というか、問題ですね）。そんなところです。

「無名時代（笑）」と彼が呼ぶこの時代の歌唱は大変貴重です。
宮崎駿監督「もののけ姫」という大変なビッグネームな監督の映画主題歌を歌ったことで、スポットライトを浴びて羨望や期待またカウンターテノールという特異な存在に対する『興味本位の見られ方』が彼の音楽人生を一時は狂わせもしました。

今の彼には迷いは見られませんが、宗教曲・日本歌曲のスペシャリストである彼の原点を、多くの方々に知っていただきたいです。海外での研鑚・リサイタルやオペラへの出演など今後ますますの活躍を期待できる、大変優秀な歌手のひとりです。
