ファーストガンダムの偉大さはもちろん
今でもスゴイ人気から、うかがい知るところです。
これはすごく思います。
私はファーストガンダムをリアルタイムで見ていなく
残念ながら後から見た人間で、しかも女性ですので、
スゴイファン、というわけではありません。
ですが、ターン∀はガンダムが面白いと初めて思いました。

人々の暮らしをクローズアップしての
ロボットものなんて、なかなか無いですよね。
軍隊事情とか恨みとか愛憎はあっても・・・。

なので生活と密着した表現が多いターン∀はとても素敵でした。
私事で恐縮ですがターン∀が私にとって
ファースト・ガンダムと思えるほど面白かったです。

いわゆる「ファースト世代」の僕は、最初このガンダムのデザインを見て
「なんだこりゃ…」と不快感をあらわにした。
だがこれがビデオで出ると同時に、「見てみようか」と思い、レンタルビデオ店に走った。

「こ、これは…面白そうじゃねぇか！！！」
鋼鉄のハンマーで頭を砕かれたような感覚！
これまでのガンダムシリーズ（宇宙世紀、アフターコロニー、アフターウォー
おそらくコズミック・イラも含まれるだろう）を
「黒歴史」としてひとまとめにしてしまう発想には驚きを隠せなかった。
2話、3話、4話…と見るうちに、どんどん作品そのものにぐいぐいと引き込まれていった自分がそこにいた。
富野監督…やってくれるぜ！！（笑）
これぞまさに「富野マジック」のなせる技なのかもしれない。

さらに、朴さんのロランが初々しいのもポイント高し。
いまや錬金術師兄弟のお兄さんですが（＾＾；
個人的には、渡辺久美子さんの演じるフランさんもイイ！

色々と悪評の多かった「ヒゲガンダム」だが、最終話まで見終えて僕は確信した。
これは、すべてのアニメファンだけでなく、すべての人に見てほしい作品なんだ！と。
もちろん、朴さんファンも必見なのは言うまでもありません（笑）

まぁ、だまされたと思って一度見てください。
あなたが忘れかけていた何かが、きっと見えてくるはず。

「現代の諸問題は過去にはなかった、
　そして未来には解決しているだろう。」
そんなふうに思うことがあります。

過去を象徴する地球の民。
未来を象徴する月の民。
過去と未来が接触することでいろんな問題が生じます。
それは現代にも通じる問題だと思いました。

科学の功罪、人間の不変的な性質、それらに弄ばれる周囲の人々。
主人公は立ちふさがる様々な問題を解決するべく奔走します。
自己愛や逃避ではなく、ひたすら問題を解決するためだけに。
これは、新たな英雄譚だと思いました。

この作品は、作者が作り出した数々のアニメの集大成であり、
それに代表作であるガンダムの名を冠したのだと受け止めると
スッキリするのではないでしょうか。

どんな国で放送されても恥ずかしくない作品のひとつだと思います。
