もののけ姫を見て感動した人ならば、サントラも絶対気に入るでしょう！
久石譲さんの曲はどれも素晴らしいのですが、もののけ姫には
その中でも私好みの壮大な音楽が多いです。
最初と最後の「アシタカ・記」は、聞くだけでゾクゾクします。
「アシタカとサン」はメロディーがとてもきれいで、よくピアノで弾いてます。もののけ姫は内容が深いので、やっぱり曲も深いものが多いと思います。

「アシタカせっ記（エンディング）」と「アシタカとサン」はいつ聴いても、感動的である。これを聴くだけでも、映画の壮大さが良くわかる。
米国で、この映画が受け入れらなかったのは、自然に対する、価値観の違いだろう。

「千と千尋と神隠し」,「ハウルの動く城」の特大ヒットで宮崎アニメの知名度は,
いまでこそ大きく社会認知されたが,そもそもブレイクの導火線となった発端だったのは興行収益が100億を超えた97年の「もののけ姫」の大ヒットからである。（ちなみに「紅の豚」は20億円程度だそうだ。）

その成功の要因は,久石譲の才能があまりにも大きい。

下記の皆さんも書いてる通り,「アシタカせっ記（エンディング）」と「アシタカとサン」の
音楽的な完成度の高さは,歴代の久石譲作品でもトップ3に確実に入る。
こんな音楽を聴けるなんて一生に一度あるかないだろう。

久石譲による宮崎アニメのサントラＣＤは,アニメサントラＣＤという枠に留まらず,稀代の「芸術作品」と捉えるべきで,

発表から10年以上経過してもまったく色褪す事のない完成度は「最高傑作」だ。
（ちなみに1997年発売当時の初回限定盤は箱付きＣＤとなっている）

「もののけ姫」の世界観にも関係してか、このアルバムは「寒色系」のマイナーな曲が多い。メランコリックと言った所だろう。あまりリラックスしたい時に聴く音楽ではない。
