アイリッシュ音楽やスコットランド民謡のもとの音楽っぽいのが一部。
ムジュラのテーマは、怖い音楽。
怖いといっても、グロテスクな怖さではなくて、知らない世界を見るような怖さという感じ。ゼルダ特有の独特な感じがいい。

冒険の主人公リンクは、前作で別れた、かけがえのない友を探しにゆく。

少しでもはやく会いたい、その気持ちと裏腹に、リンクは奇妙な世界に
巻き込まれる。そんな感じがよく伝わってくる。
そうして、前作の世界と完全に違う空間に入り、抜け出せなくなってしまう。そこはとってもとっても奇妙な世界。
なぜかというと、知っているはずの顔がたくさんあるのに、
本当はぜんぜん面識のない人ばかりの世界。

この物語はリンクにとっての試練なんじゃないかと思わせる曲。
やけに戦闘シーンのムジュラの仮面のテーマが頭に残ります。
このゲームをクリアした人でも意外な発見ができるかも知れません。
全体的に、暗くてシリアスな曲が多いのだけど、困難な状況から
希望を見出せるストーリーにあった、ゆったりした曲も増えたと思います。

もうひとつのゼルダの世界がたっぷり詰まっています。
曲がいろんなドラマを思い浮かばせてくれます。

ムジュラの仮面って、自分的にすごくツボのゲームでした。
ちょっと不気味でシュールで、でも画面から伝わってくる不思議な暗さに安らぎを覚えたり…。
あの独特の、「時のオカリナ」から更に一歩怪奇／幻想路線に突っ込んだ世界観を彩るのに、音楽も一役買っていました。

根幹にある「リンクの知ってる世界」、すなわちステレオタイプの西欧的ファンタジー世界の亜種であるのが今作のゲームだとすれば、
音楽も、根幹にある西欧の民族的音楽だとかファンタジーの常套句に、奇妙な陰を宿らせたのが今作の音楽だと思います。
明るいけど、怖い。キラキラしてるけど、暗い。奇妙だけど、安らぎます。

アンビエント／チルアウトの方面からこの音源探してる人も、ぜひ。

効果音や楽器などさまざまな物を使用してあるため
とてもよい音楽効果がでています。
ゲームで感じる音とはちがって聞こえて
いいですよ。
とてもリラックスできますね。
