   92年より彼らをサポートしてきた"まりん"こと砂原良徳脱退後、石野卓球とピエール瀧の2人組（つまり電気グルーヴになる前の「人生」スタイル）となって最初にリリースしたアルバム。
   80年代初期のテクノブームを思わせるチープなエレクトロ観を取り入れ、アマチュア時代を思わせる攻撃的サウンドが印象的である。それをただの原点回帰にしないところはさすがとしかいいようがない。シングルカットされた<10>なども収録されれているが、それよりも<8>など思わず爆笑してしまう作品が本作の聴きどころである。（おおしまともひろ）

インタビューにて本人達が曰く糞で作った五重塔だそうです。
「うわ、何でこんなの作ってんだよ!」と、なるか、
「すげぇ！ウンコでできた五重塔だ！」となるかで
アルバムの評価はまったく正反対になります。
塔の中に一粒のダイヤモンドが埋まってるそうです。
初めて聴いたときは、そこで泣いてしまいました。
そのまま聴きながら、何で俺はこんなアルバムで･･･と
腹が立ってきましたが、まりんが脱退したこと、人生の頃と
同じスタートに立ったこと、このアルバムだから、
あの曲が生まれたのだと思います。

　取りあえず尋常ではない閉塞感。日曜日の昼下がりにBGMとして聴けるようなものでは毛頭ない。初めて聴く人には部屋を暗くしてじっとその音に耳を傾けて欲しい。そんで意味のワカラン世界を堪能してほしい。ただ本当に意味が全くない。意味がないということが意味である、という言い方を除いて何もない。大人が突き詰めてやったらこんなものまでできちゃいますよという良い見本。子供には買ってあげるべきではないCD。こんなドエライものを作っちゃったらもう次やることないんじゃないですか？

「なんだか分からないけどヤバい。でも聴きたい。」みたいな感覚に襲われる、稀有なアルバムです
