料理にまつわる１５のお話。
すごく短い話だけど、どれも心にじんわりと来る優しい話ばかり。

話の中に出てくる料理のレシピがわかり易く記載されている。
中には難しそうな料理もあるけど、その料理を作る主人公が
気負わずに作っているので、自分にも出来るような気になる。

一つの話の登場人物がまた別の話に絡み合っているのも、
読んでいて見つけるととっても面白い。

食事というのは毎日何気なくとっているものだけどそこには愛情や
悲しみや喜びや色々な気持ちがまじりこんでいるんだなぁってしみじみ思った。
人の為に食事が作れる幸せはもちろんだけど、自分の為にきちんと
料理をするって事もとっても大事で幸せな事なんだ。
そういう生きていく中で当たり前すぎて忘れてしまっている
とても大切な気持ちを思い出させてくれる本でした。

昨年の本ですが、今年になってから読んだ中で私のベスト1です。

結婚して、子供が生まれて、仕事も続けてと毎日あわただしい中で、
食事を作って食べるのは、一種「修行」のようなものです。
「面倒くさい」と思うけど、一緒に食べる人がいるからこそ
作っているんだな〜と結婚13年目にして思うようになりました。

そんな私の気持ちにぴったりの本でした。
どの話しも何度も読み返したいものです。
特に「豚柳川できみ会う」はじ〜んときました。

食べることにまつわる話なのに、何故か何度か胸に込み上げてくるものがある。
買ってきた出来合いのものでなく、自分が造る料理は、お腹を満たすだけでないようだ。
自分が造ることは創作であり、その過程が、あらゆる人たちの心を揉み解す。
料理を造りながら、自分の心を揉み解し、心の悩みやしこりについて、迷う気持ちの方向性が定まってゆくその瞬間を描くからこの本は胸が一杯になる。
登場する人たちは、自分にも当てはまりそうだし、自分の周囲にも居そうな感じだ。
その人たちが造る料理は、食卓に並ぶ家庭料理が主だからこそ、繰り返されてきた日常の尊さが、各短編毎に読み手の心を揺さ振る。
「あとがきにかえて」で角田さんがお母さんについて書かれてますが、これも駄目押しで泣かせます。
