　「もしも、フィギアが動いて、自分でしゃべったら・・・」という子供達の玩具に対する最大の願望を叶えようとしたグロボテック社の新社長。コストを押さえるため、チップを代用し低価格で発売することに。だが、代用したチップは軍用チップだった。そのフィギアが世に出回ったら大変なことになる。しかし、そのとき既にある少年が手に入れていたのだ。

　本当にこんなことがあったら・・・と思うと、ゾッとしますね。その感覚を小説にうまく再現してあります。ただ少し中盤は飽きてくるかもしれませんが、クライマックスは映画に劣らぬ面白さです。
