この本は私の姪・甥経由で我が子にやってきました。ほどんど毎晩今でも寝る前に読みます。保育園でも読み聞かせてくれいることもあり、いまでは字が読めない我が子もすべて暗記しています。それほど好きな本ですが、読むたびに怖くて抱きつきながら寝る羽目に。それでも毎日｢よんで！｣とせがみます。せなけいこさんのすてきな切り絵調の挿絵がなんともいいですね。

もと保母さんのママ友に勧められたのですが、本当に子供（２才２ヶ月）が気に入るかはその子によるので、まず図書館で借りました。そしたら、何度か読んだだけなのに、返却した今も、せりふを覚えてて楽しそうに喋り、また読みたいと言うので、購入することにしました。
内容は、寝ない子がお化けになって、お化けの国に連れてかれちゃう、というところで終わる、大人からするとちょっと恐い話なのですが、文章が短くてリズムがあるので、発音して楽しいようです。また、絵の色がはっきりしていて、形も単純化されているので、そこも子供の好みらしいです。

1才半のうちの娘に、近所の人が貸してくれたのですが、
よっぽど衝撃を受けたのか、破ってしまいました。
そして、結局買うハメに.....
この娘は、お祝いにもらった、"いやだいやだ"も、びりびりにしています。
せなけいこさんワールドおそるべしです。
