以前読んだ「すごい会議」と比較すると、あちらはプロジェクトのキックオフや停滞時のモチベーションアップには役立つものの、通常の会議のファシリテーションには此方の方が手引書として適している。
会議の準備・進行・終了の各段階を如何に論理的に考え着実に進めていくか、筆者のコンサルタントとしての経験談を交えながら分かり易く纏めている。
個々の要素は日頃から意識／無意識を問わずやっていることが多いものの、こうして改めて体系化されてみると非常に有難い。
駆け出しのコンサルタントや会議漬けで時間が無いと嘆く管理職の方には一読の価値あり。

今までの仕事上、会議はあたりまえ、みんなで集まり、話をまとめる、
ものだと考えており実践しておりました。
しかし、ふと会議とはどうゆうものか、効率化を計るにはどのようにしたら良いのかと考えている時に本書に出会いました。

今日の目標は何ですか？

会議を始める前の合言葉が出来ました。また、本書にはいかに効率よく会議の生産性をあげるかという実践方法が記載されています。

会議は一人では実践出来ない為、早速本書を会社のグループメンバーに読んでもらおうと思います。

上司から本を良く手渡されて読むことが多く、今回も渡された時には
また読まなきゃって感じだったんですが・・・

開けてすぐに「今日のゴールは何ですか」とあって、会議ってゴールが
あるものなのかと驚いたのと同時に興味を引かれました。

非生産的な会議の一例が書いてありましたが
「この会議いったい何を決めるんだろう・・・」
「また演説が始まった。今日の会議は３時間コースになりそうだ・・・」
「先週もその前も同じ話をしたと思うけど・・・」

まさに会社の会議がそうです。
参加はいつもするのだけど、怒られるか、黙っているかなんです。
会議とはそういうものだと思ってましたから、目から鱗です。

会議の教科書という題名でしたが、仕事の進め方全般に関する教科書みたいで
新人研修で、挨拶とかマナーとかよりもこういった研修があると良いのではと
思った一冊でした。
