成功の自伝が経営学、哲学だったら人生経験の長い、会社のおじいさん経営者や中年管理職にも一家言あります。
中年にも受けるタレント本風な一冊。

杉本氏が創立された不動産会社、「エスグラント」の会社説明会に行きました。残念ながら杉本氏には会えませんでしたが、本書にも登場している創立メンバーの方々がお話を聞かせてくれました。めちゃくちゃ熱い！情熱というのは感染します。話を聞いていたこちらも興奮して体が震えてきました。その帰りに本屋に飛び込み、本書を求めました。

この本には、杉本氏の魂がこもっています。氏が経験した苦しみ、葛藤、そして喜び。全てが等身大で伝わってきます。感動なしには読めません。こんな人の下で働いてみたいと思います。人生に刺激が欲しい学生の方や、リーダーシップを発揮する立場にある管理職の方にお薦めします。

最近はテクニックに走った本が多い。なるべく直接、お客と接しないで商談を成立させるためのノウハウが多い。それは確かに我々のニーズにかなり合っているかもしれない。しかし、あまりにテクニックに流れると、商売の基本、セールスの基本、一番大切な心構えを忘れてしまう。その事をこの本で気づかされた。著者の率直さ、まっすぐさ、情熱がひしひしと伝わり、エネルギーと気づきをいただいた。とても感謝したい。著書の生い立ちは、非常である。著者もその事を率直に語っておられた。私ははじめ、そういったネガティブな過去を反動的なエネルギーに使ったタイプの、ただただイケイケのカリスマかと思って警戒しながら読んでいた。しかし、そうではなかった。過去は反動のエネルギーになったかもしれないが、彼の中にはリーダーの魂が熱く息づいていると感じた。熱く優しく厳しい、リーダーである。
