羊のうたやイエスタデイを歌ってで有名な冬目景がはじめて挑戦する西洋物。
1巻完結物で展開が終始速いですが面白かったです。
特に、最終ページの台詞に感心します(読んでからのお楽しみ)
設定のみ色々と継承した2巻も今後発売予定だそうです。
また、本体がハードカバーで豪華です。

表のイラストもセンスが良いのでファンなら絶対に購入するべき一品だと思います。

冬目景の絵が好きだ。かすれた線によって描かれる寂しげな世界がいい。
しかし、冬目景は、それを上手く生かすストーリーを考え出すことが苦手のようだ。
永遠の命を持つ一族というネタをうまく使うことができなかった。
前半で、特務機関に追われる少女とか、少女がキーアイテムを少年に託すとかいった、宮崎アニメのような黄金パターンを出したのに、後半は設定をただ説明するだけに終わってしまっている。

全体的にストーリーは暗いです。でも、この雰囲気が個人的にすごく好き。
ラストが切ないですが、それ故に美しささえ感じます。
早く続刊を出してほしいところ。
「羊のうた」や冬目景さんファンは是非！
