11巻以降、作者の思いばかりが先行して、私は途方にくれてしまいました。
でも長丁場の読み物ではよくあること。
独自の世界で突っ走り、広げた風呂敷を畳みきれず、よく言えば幻想的なカットを織り交ぜ、高尚な世界を提示しているかのように見せかけて終了させる。付いて来れないのは読者が未熟だからとでも言いたげな作品。
陰陽師もそんな感じなってしまいました。残念で仕方ありません。
最初の頃は、本当におもしろかったのに…

私は夢枕さんの小説の世界観が好きで、こちらの漫画版に入ったので、いわゆる『６巻くらいで引いた』派です。
この漫画、全１３巻を高評価される方は、岡野さんのオリジナルのお話に感銘を受けているようですが、
そもそも他の原作者さんのお話とキャラを借りておいて、途中でオリジナルに突っ走るというのはどうなんでしょう？
オリジナルに走るのなら、夢枕陰陽師から一度きちんと脱却して、岡野陰陽師としてオリジナルで出直すべきだったと思います。
それでもオリジナルを指示する方はちゃんとついてゆくのですから。

最近の内容には、いわゆる高偏差値の人にありがちな、『分かる人には分かるんだけどね』的、突き放しオーラを感じます。
これはもう読む側の理解力の問題ではなく、作者が読む側を始めからふるいにかけているのだと感じます。
陰陽道の知識など専門書のようで万人向けではありません。

初期のプロットと別物になってしまった以上、あくまでも別物で出直すべきでした。
プロである以上、初期の原作イメージを好んで読んでいた読者を、置き去りにした責任はあると思います。

他の方の書いたレビューの二番煎じになってしまうとは思うけれど、やっぱり感じたことを素直にかくならば。
仮にも「夢枕獏原作・陰陽師」という題名を冠するならば、ある程度は原作に沿う責任はあったでしょう。
途中で進む方向が違うと感じられたなら、一旦そこで「陰陽師」は終わらせて、「安倍晴明」とか「新・陰陽師」なる題にして新たに始めれば良かった訳で。
・・というのも私は前半の「陰陽師」、後半の「陰陽師」もそれぞれ大好きだったからです。
それだけに、1つの作品でありながら別々の漫画を読んで終わったみたいな、一貫性が無くなってしまったことが何より残念。
