この本は心があたたかくなり、前向きな気持ちにしてくれる作品です。しかも、わたし的にうれしいことに、68話ものいろいろなお話が収録されています。一話一話心温まる話です。なかでもわたしに印象的だったのが前向きに考えるの章の「できない君、さようなら」の話。ミシガン州にある小さな小学校に勤める先生が、生徒たちに「できなこと」と題して、できないことを生徒に書かせる。そして、書いた後、土を掘り、紙を埋める。そして先生は言う「今日ここに「できない」君の死を悼み、友人の皆様にお集まりいただきました。（中略）。「できない君」、ここに安らかに眠れ。ご遺族の方(できるさん、やる気くん、今すぐ実行くん）を含め、それぞれの人生をしっかりと前向きに生きられますように。アーメン」。こんな話が68話も収録されており、まるで短編集のようです。前向きな話を読むとポジティブな力がわいてきます。きっとこの本を読むと生きる力が今より強くなるのではないかと思います。

涙なくして読めない良書。私は６回泣きました。

この本ほど何度も感激できる本はそうないと思います。できるだけ多くの人に読んで欲しい本です。生きる勇気が沸いてきます。本書を読んで感動する人が世界中に増えていけば素晴らしい世の中になると思います。

精神的に疲れていたり、生きるのに疲れている方が本書を読めば、きっと復活すると思えるよな本です。もちろん、元気な方はもっと元気になります。感動することの素晴らしさを味わえる内容です。

短編から構成されている、こころのチキンスープ。
１つ１つの話がとても濃く、感動的です。
バスや電車の中で読んでいても、人目もはばからず感涙していました。
毎日を一生懸命に生きている方達が、この本の中にいます。
よしっ、自分もがんばろうと前向きな気持ちにさせてくれました。

私は全巻持っていますが、１巻目、まさにこの本が一番好きです。アメリカの本なので、たまに？というような話もありました。
ぜひ、学生さんに読んでいただきたい本です。
人生を知りつくすと、なかなか感動できないものです。。。
こころを育てる本であるとも思います。温まりますよ。
