未完の女王の異名を一部でささやかれている高河ゆん氏の初期の代表作。
同人誌の世界から商業誌の世界へ飛び出したてのパワーと情熱を感じる。

全編を通しての一応のストーリーの軸は「地球vs天使」だが、実はそんなことよりも
もっと大きい「地球人としての愛」が大きなテーマになっている。

本編では、同性同士の愛、アンドロイドと人間の愛、思い続ける愛、仲間同士の愛が
描かれた後、地球が地球人（地球に住む全ての生物）に対して持っている愛を描いている。

ものすごく深い訳ではないストーリーだが、ものすごく浅い訳でもない。
劇中での登場人物の強い意志に基づいたセリフと、宝物のようなシーンをたっぷり味わえる漫画。

この1巻では、
・宇宙飛行士のジャニスの話
・香港の話
・ハワイの話

などが収録。

地球を蝕む人類は滅ぼされるべきなのか…それを判断するために舞い降りた天使達と人間（アーシアン）の物語。
同性愛は死罪であるのにも関わらず惹かれあう天使、ちはやと影艶…
こんな風に誰かとともにありたい、そう思わされる愛がいくつも描かれています。

私は、「地球」と「人間」について沢山のことを考えさせられました。
現在連載中の「LOVELESS」と大分絵柄は異なりますが、ストーリーの面白さやキャラクターの魅力、パワーは通じるところがあると思います。
私はどちらの作品もとても好きです。

　何年待ったことでしょうか。待つ間に、影艶の年齢もとうに越してしまった私ですが、本当に、うれしいばかりです。雑誌掲載時よりの読者はもちろん、初めての方も、この美しい表紙イラストを鑑賞するだけでなく、ぜひ、手にとって購読してみてください。話の内容は、とても800字などであらわせず、参考になるようなことも書けずすみませんが、一言であらわすと、地球人（アーシアン）の再生への道標、だと私は思います。美しい、書き下ろしのカラー口絵も魅力的です。漫画にして、この値段は何だ、とためらっている方は、全４巻購読してから初めて後悔をしてください。
