寺田 啓佐
1948年、千葉県生まれ。自然酒蔵元『寺田本家』23代目当主。1974年、300年続く老舗の造り酒屋『寺田本家』に婿入りする。1985年、経営の破綻と病気を機に、自然酒造りに転向。自然に学び、原点に帰った酒造りによる「五人娘」を製造販売する。その後、発芽玄米酒「むすひ」や、どぶろくの元祖「醍醐のしずく」など、健康に配慮したユニークな酒を、次々と商品化し、話題を呼んでいる。酒造業のかたわら、教育や食、環境といった生命にかかわる問題をテーマに、地域貢献に努め、地元の教育委員長や学校給食運営の会長などを歴任する(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)

最初は酒造元が自分の作った酒を宣伝するために書いたのかと思いましたが、
読み通してみて、｢よく生きる｣ための哲学書だったと感じています。

会社員が読んでも、自営業の人が読んでも、自分のあり方になぞらえて、
振り返ることができるような気がします。
何よりも、生きている自分、そして生きている全ての生き物が愛おしくなる、
そんなことを感じさせてくれる一冊だと思います。
うつ症状や気分障害の人などが手にとってもいいかもしれません。

微生物の生き様は、それ自体が無償の愛であり、宇宙であるのですね。
近いですから、蔵を訪ねてみたいと思っています。

全くの専門外から代々続いた酒蔵に婿養子にきた本の著者。
しかもお酒が飲めないと来ている　笑
「売れる酒」「利益のでる経営」を目指して酒造りにあたるのですが、
ご自身のからだを壊したことをきっかけに、
からだが本当に求めている生活、お酒を作ろうと決意。
今までの酒造りの常識をまったく覆す、
徹底した酒造りの原点回帰をしていきます。
その過程での著者の多くの人との出会い、気付きには、
私達も多くのことを学べます！

発酵と腐敗の違いをわからせてくれた本です。
それと日本酒の伝統を教えてくれた本です。
微生物のありがたさを教えてくれた本です。

手間ひまかけるとよい返事をしてくれる。
よいお酒は、よい人から生まれ、よい人に飲まれる。

寺田さんの体験から語る哲学、人間行動学の本です。
