　アキハバラのオタクたちを石田流の表現で個性豊かな魅力的なキャラクターに仕上て、彼ら彼女らが未来えと進み道のりを、悪戦苦闘を交えながら描いた物語。
　自分たちの作り上げたAI型サーチエンジン「クルーク」を巨大会社に奪われた彼らが、それを奪還するまでのお話。
　ストーリー的にはあまりひねりはなく、ラストもややあけっなく物足りない終わり方ですが、それを補うような魅力的なキャラクターたちが物語を読ませます。やや美化されているところはありますが、それでも彼らのがんばって生きていく姿に感化される方も多いでしょう。
　個人的には前半の「ユイ」さんとの出会いと別れが印象に残りました。こういったところの話のうまさはさすが石田さんといったところ。そのぶん、やや後半は駆け足過ぎてあっけなく、もう少し描いてほしかったところです。
　やや、続編がありそうな終わり方なので、またアキハバラ@DEEPの6人に会える日を楽しみに待つことにしましょう。

オタク、とは長い間どちらかといえば蔑称のような扱われ方だったが、褒め称えられる時代になりつつある。
この本の登場人物も、現実を生きる人間も、みんな何か欠けてて、そして突出してる。いい意味でも、悪い意味でも。自分自身、いまだに良い出っ張りがどこか確認できないでいるが、補い合って生きていけたらと思う。地べたに近いところで。それを再確認できた。

特殊で個性ある町を舞台とし、
多くの問題を抱えた登場人物たちが、
軽めのクールな文体で、
最新のカルチャーと共に描かれる。。。
IWGPから続く、石田衣良節全開の小説です。

ただ初期の作品に比べ
最先端の情報が増えた反面、
キャラクターの特殊、異種性だけがクローズアップされている気がします。
４TEENで涙した読者としては、
秋葉原の現在と同じだけ登場人物の奥が知りたい。

マコトやタカシのような
出会ってみたくなる人物を求めます。

ドラマ、金八先生の様に
時代についていこうとするあまり
どんどん作品そのものの重みが薄れていってしまうことがないように
願いたいです。
