藤原紀香さんの大きな顔が目立ち、手に取りました。
ＴＶドラマの原作、産婦人科が舞台と言うことで、女性たちの人間模様を綴った作品かと思っていたら･･･
かなり硬派な医療問題を扱っていました。

自分の子どもが生まれてきた時の感動は、いつの間にか忘れていましたし、まして、支えていただいた
お医者様のことはお顔も覚えていないような･･･。それが当たり前のことだと思っていましたが、
本作を読むと、改めて母子ともに無事な出産を迎えることのありがたさが分かります。

著者の岡井氏は現職の産婦人科医ということで、あとがき（その前に意外な登場の仕方もされますが）
に本作執筆の意図が書かれています。
私のような一般人には、現在の医師不足や医療過誤（事故？）の本質論は理解できませんが、こうした
作品に触れることで、課題があることだけは認識できます。
何より、患者と医師の信頼関係の構築を訴える姿勢には、とても共感できました。

主人公の奈智が成長した次作を、ぜひ読んでみたいと思いますが、殺人的忙しさの著者に期待するのは酷でしょうか･･･ね。
