この人の言葉は平易である。丁寧である。それだけにストレートに伝わってくる。
この本は「イジメ」というものをまっすぐ捉えた作品だと思う。それも、一つの視点にとどまることなく、あらゆる立場から、あらゆる状況を見つめている。偽善者でもなく、被害者でもなく。これは、「イジメ」に関わる格闘と再生を描ききった作品である。

私がはじめて重松清さんに出会ったのは、NHKの「にんげんゆうゆう」でした。その番組の中で重松さんは「いじめの根本」の様な話をされていたと記憶しています。そこで、よしこの人の本を読んでみようと思い、生まれて初めて「読書」に挑戦してみました。すると、どうでしょう「本」にのめり込み、楽しくて楽しくて！特にこの「ナイフ」や「半パンデイズ」等は、子供の素直な心やその大切さを教え、おとなのエゴを考える。そんな作品だと感じました。真に子供のことを見つめて欲しい・・教育者の方々に是非読んでいただきたい作品です。

イジメのシーンについてこれだけ細かく書かれていると、自分自身がその現場で実際に見物しているような感覚になり、とても読むのが恐かった。
誰にも言えずに、毎日必死になって、壮絶なイジメと闘っている子達はたくさんいると思う。読んだ後も思い出すと、心臓がギュッっと痛むくらい印象に残った。
