今まで、個人の考えや感情などの内面的部分にスポットを当ててきたが、この巻から、本格的にジアースを巡る外側の人々の話へと移り変わってきている。ジアースの存在を発表されて、ジアースとパイロットについてのマスコミの報道姿勢や、それを見た民衆達の態度と反応、偽物の登場など、この物語が現実であったら起こりうるであろう出来事が次々と発生してきている。またこの巻から新しく始まった描写がある。それは、パイロット達の親の描写だ。今までの親達は、自分の子供がパイロットだとは知らなかったが、今度は、事実を知った親の立場の話になってきている。その時、親達が何を想い、どう行動するのか、非常に興味深い話になっている。それに関連して、この巻で最も印象的だと感じたコモのエピソードは虚しくて、どこかやるせなくて、そしてとても切ない。

個人的に今一番続きの気になる漫画。綿密に練られた構成や、ストーリー展開は本当に舌を巻くほど巧みで、すでに言われているがじっくり読まないとわからないくらい伏線の張り方が自然で巧妙。契約者の数も少なくなり、やはり気になるのは「未契約者」と「結末」だが、自分の予想通りなのか、それともウラのウラをかかれるのか、想定外のことが起きるのか…非常に楽しみである。
この作者のことだから見事に読者の期待と予想を良い意味で裏切ってくれるのだと、信じている。賛否両論が見事に二分する前作の「なるたる」のラストは僕は好きだったが、この「ぼくらの」は絶対そういう終わらし方をしてはいけないと思うので……今後の展開を想像しながら、来る日のラストを心待ちにしています。

パイロットの父親がＴＶ局に勤めている。

父親は言った。

「もし、目の前で家族が危機に瀕していたら
　撮り続けるのか、助けるのか」

その答えを巻末で出す父親。

業界人にとっては
その選択は避けられないものだろう。

その選択の結果、娘の反応は次巻へ持ち越される。

どんどんダークな気分へ落ち込んでいく作品だ。
人間の本質に迫り過ぎで恐くなってくる。
