　この本の中では、前半が夏Ｂのチーム。後半が春のチームに分かれています。（春のチームは続きになっていますが）
　日本が沈没した時のために、７人の選抜者と政府のお目付け役が一人で１チームになっている。このチームは５チームある。夏だけＡとＢのチームがある。
　夏Ｂチームのナツ（これ主人公の名前）は気が弱くてみんなのお荷物になるばかり。

　反対に春のチームの主人公：花は行動力があって、積極的。
　でも、二人ともそれぞれ恋心を抱いている。
　１６人の性格がよく描かれていると思う。
　今後、ほかのチームがどういう風に登場してくるか、楽しみです。

導入部とおぼしき12巻までの、起（1〜4巻）部分における”承”。

ナツ・嵐・蝉丸が、ちまき・まつり・蛍・百舌と合流し、夏のBチームが揃ったところで、ガイドである牡丹の口から7SEEDSプロジェクトの概要が明かされます。
彼らが一応は１つにまとまったところで、場面転換。
春のチームの話になります。

夏のBチームと違って、構成員の能力水準が高い春のチーム。
可愛い顔をしてアウトドア派の花が主人公。―――「花に嵐」か。なるほど。大変そうだ(^^;)
他に、知的で冷静な藤子、
しとやかで優しいけれど芯が強く聡いちさ、
風流人で動じない角又、
冷めてはいるけれど繊細なハル、
幼いけれど記憶力に優れた野火桃太郎。
そしてもうひとり、解凍が不完全で眠ったままのひばり。
能力に比例した自意識を持つ彼らは、いきなり放り込まれた歪な世界でも、泣かないし頼らない。何ができるかを自分で考え、実行し、協力し合う。
自分の心が納得するまでは、ガイドの言う”崩壊後の地球”なんて話も信じない。
素晴らしくバランスの取れたこのチームで唯一アンバランスなのが、皮肉なことにガイドの柳。
不協和音を抱えたままの春のチームに異変が起こる所で、ヒキ。

強くあろう、負けるまい、と頑張る少年少女達は、故にこそ生き辛い。
未来にあってさえ現代と同じ苦痛を彼らに強いるのが「ガイド」である、という点に切なさをおぼえます。
この点については、次巻以降の様々なエピソードで、対比が描かれています。
少年少女のサバイバル、という表の展開とは別に、「大人」の在り方についてじっくり書き込んでいるのも、7SEEDSの特徴ではないかと。
同世代（30代〜40代）の人間に是非読んで欲しい作品だと思います。

『BASARA』もそうだけど、田村由美さんって、世界が滅びた後の世界って設定が好きだな~。こういう世界が滅びた後に取り残される子供たちという設定は、マンガには、すごくよくある。名作『飛ぶ教室』から『ドラゴンヘッド』『サバイバル』とかあげればきりが無い。物語の展開としては、「なぜ世界が滅びてしまったのか？」「何ゆえ、主人公たちが生き残ってしまった（残された？）のか？」という世界の謎と、同時にその主人公たちの人物描写や関係を描くのと両方がある。田村さんは、間違いなく後者にウェイトがある人ですね。物語の基調低音は、離れ離れになっても揺らぐことのない嵐と花の愛だもんね。
