　一話一話が、恋愛の断片である。キャンディーのような楽しみ方をしたい短編集だ。一つ一つ味わいが違い、でも賞味した後の満足感と後引き感が、同質だ。
　基本的に恋する二人の話だが、「ふたりの名前」の猫とか、「声をさがしに」とか、第三者の存在があると、余韻が深くなるように思う。ただ、表題作「１ポンドの悲しみ」の、どこまでも二人だけの世界を描ききった一編は、凄いと思う。うーん、フルーツ味のキャンディーに混じったハッカ味ですか…(＾＾!)

　表題作以下、10編の短いラヴストーリーを集めた短編集。おしゃれな文章と設定で、気持ちよく読めました。美味しい喫茶店のケーキみたいな感じです。冒頭の「ふたりの名前」が一番良かったかな。無理して距離を保っていた関係が、不意に「生活」という関係に移る感じがとてもよく描かれていました。

20代30代の恋物語。この本を読んでいると、時代は変わっても恋愛はなくならないし、人は恋をするものだなと思いました。仕事に悩んでいても、爽やかな恋で元気が出たり、救われることもあるのでは・・？元気を与えてくれる本だなと思いました。
