山崎元、推薦につられて購入。
あと、表紙がかわいらしかったので。

しかし、中身はまともな経済学の本。
大学の教授たちも、この本読んで、実学を学生たちに教えて欲しいものである。

よくある経済学お勉強小説とおもいきや、ライトノベルなみの読みやすさ（メイドも、池袋もでてきますし）と、ストーリーの自然さに引き込まれます。一方で、よくある各章ごとにポイントをまとめたり、参考文献などが紹介されたりという体裁にはなっていないので、これを経済学の入門書として使うのは難しいと思います。
むしろ、なにか１冊経済学の入門書を読んだ人間が、ストーリーを追いながら、主人公の立場でそれぞれの場面でどう考えるのが経済学的な思考なのかを確かめながらよむのに最適です。
本書のタイトル自体は、全体の１エピソードに過ぎませんし、主題でもありません。しかし、このタイトルの意味を、「苦労知らずの優等生は出世できない。」というありきたりの人生訓の類と感じる方には是非読んでもらいたいと思います。特にタイトルで赤字の部分「社長になれない」の部分に一種のトリックがありますので、お楽しみに。

「ＢＳ-ＴＢＳ」とかで。

読みながら何度も「これ、フィクションだよね・・。」と
ページの最後を確認した事か、それ位、話の内容がリアル
で面白いです。

表紙だけ見ると「？」ですが、すーっと、経済の知識が
頭に入っていく、経済書の中でもおススメの一冊です。
