第２次世界大戦前夜のバルト海の小国を舞台に、お転婆な王女さま・父の遺志を継ぎパイロットを夢見る少年・謎の青年が繰り広げる冒険活劇。

赤城氏は江戸川乱歩のような小説が書きたいと常々書いているとおりの、わかりやすい、勧善懲悪の冒険活劇。

イラストも多く、読みやすい。
なんとなく疲れている人が頭をからっぽにして読むと面白いと思う。

1940年代前半、キナ臭い気配が高まりつつあるヨーロッパはバルト海に位置するメーアシャウム王国を舞台に、お転婆な王女レティシア・父の遺志を継ぎ、世界一の飛行機を造りそれを操縦しようと日々邁進する少年ティム・そして謎の風来坊ミッキィがSSとSAの軍勢を向こうにまわして繰り広げる大立ち回り。勧善懲悪の分かりやすい話の中に｢平和とは｣
｢愛とは｣｢正義とは｣｢国とは｣等の私達が日常の中で見逃しがちな問題を随所にさりげなく盛り込んであり、読み応えのある一品です。
