映画『リリイ・シュシュのすべて』の象徴的存在“リリィ・シュシュ”として、揺らぎながらも生命力にあふれた歌声を聴かせた謎多き女性シンガーは、映画の公開から3年の時を経て2004年6月に「VALON-1」でデビューし、“Salyu”としてその存在を現した。デビュー以降は昨今の畳み掛けるようなリリースの速度とは違い、ゆっくりとしたペースで1曲ずつを丹念に紡ぐように、「Dialogue」「彗星」とシングルのリリースを重ね、デビューから1年2ヵ月を要し、ついにファースト・アルバムである今作が登場した。アルバムのタイトルである『landmark』とは“地の位置を知る目印”を意味する。プロデューサー・小林武史の描く、広く雄大な世界のなかで、彼女の歌声はしっかりと地に足をつけ、大いなる存在感を放っている。燦々と降り注ぐ太陽の生命力にも似た歌声の主、Salyuの歌の力を余すことなく感じることのできる一枚だ。 (えびさわなち) --- 2005年07月号

映画「リリィシュシュのすべて」で注目をあびた歌姫。
この歌声は神。神秘的で伸びがあって透き通った独特な声。
salyuの音楽を聴いていると、宇宙とか水の中におるみたいな
感覚にさせられる。「valon-1」「彗星」の２曲は特に凄い。
違う世界に連れて行かれそうなくらい。

もっといろんなジャンルのsalyuの歌声を聴いてみたいです。
これからにもっと期待できそうな１枚でした。

自分はTERMINALを聞いてからこのアルバムを聞いたのですが
これがデビューアルバムかと言ってしまいたいくらい最高です
とにかく聞いてて
「あぁなんて幸せなんだろうか」と感じてしまいます。
心地よい空間を生み出していて、
想像でその隙間から飛んでしまうくらい軽くさせてくれます。
うるさいヒットチャートに飽きている皆さんに是非聞いてもらいたい。
そして人生でこうめぐり合えないくらいの名盤に酔いしれてみてください。

このＣＤには芸術が結集しています。
美しいジャケット、歌詞カードは一曲一枚のカードになっていてそれぞれ
Salyuが花のような写真が付いています。
そして曲がいいのは言うまでもありません。11曲通して聞いてみると、
11の個性的な花が咲いているかの様。
プロデューサーである小林武史と出会ってからの6年間の間に作られた
曲のアルバムだそうです。なるほど、ファーストアルバムにしてベストの
趣きがあるのもうなずけます。
