iMac の2009年秋モデルです。主な特徴は下記の通りです。
・21.5インチながら 1920 x 1080 のフルHD対応
・LEDバックライトで IPS液晶ディスプレイ
・ワイヤレスキーボードが標準で搭載
・新しいスライドパッド搭載の Magic Mouse が標準で搭載
・2009年秋モデルではこのモデルだけが、NVIDIA GeForce 9400M です。
・IEEE802.11n 無線LAN、Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR対応
・OS は、Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Lepard になっています。

自宅で使うのに、27インチと迷いましたが、ポータブルパソコン的な使い方で、同じフロアの中でいろいろな部屋に持ち運ぶのに、27インチは、約14kg と重かったので、10kg 切っているこちらのモデルにしました。

前モデルと比べると、1万円安価になって、別売だったワイヤレスキーボード、Magic Mouse が搭載されている点がお得なのと、ディスプレイサイズは以前の 20インチと大差ありませんが、表示できる解像度が 1920 x 1080 と、以前の 1440 x 900 に比べて 1.6倍の表示面積があるのがよいです。Windows7搭載パソコンに比べると割高感はあります。でも、iMac は Mac で、Windowsパソコンとあんまり比べるものでもないのですけど。
