まず、とにかく音質がクリアで楽器の音が生きている。
ベンジーの声も臨場感溢れ、ライブを思わせる程。

ゆったりした曲が多いが、決して退屈ではなく聴き入らせる魅力を持つ。
AJICOなどのDr.椎野氏、シアターブルックのBa.中條氏の相性が良く、円熟味を持つ演奏が落ち着きを与えているのだろう。
しかし、スケルトン、Mad Surfer等のアップテンポな曲もタイトでかっこ良い。

また、SHERBETSで録ったであろう曲はそれとわかりやすく、安心する。


曲のkeyやリズムが似たり寄ったりな印象は否めないが、その中で全く別の曲にしてしまうのがこの人の魅力であろう。
そんなベンジーがインスピレーションに従うまま、ではなく理性を持って作曲/編曲できたのは縁の下の力持ち深沼氏の存在のおかげかもしれない。

味わい深い一枚だ。

今回のアルバムは、全体的にベンジ-のやさしくて包み込むような歌声がとても印象的で、心に染みました。 9曲目『COOLER』や12曲目の『光のスクリュー』は特に、映画のエンディングのように印象的な哀愁感を感じます。歌詞、音、メロディー全てがよくて、目を閉じて聴くと曲に入り込んで涙が出てきました。 このアルバムで、私の中のベンジ-の世界が広がりました。

　シングル「FRIENDLY」の4曲がどれも好きだったので期待して買いました。

　ここ何年かの作品の中でも一番音が大人っぽい感じがします。基本的に落ち着いた曲が多いですが、一人でゆったり聴くには良い感じ。演奏が凄くまとまってる（良い意味で）印象。すーっと体に染みこんでくる。

　今まではシャーベッツでもユダでもソロでも荒野を駆けるような少しザラついた感じがある（ゆったりとした曲や落ち着いた美しい曲でも）と思ってましたが、今回はプロデューサーをつけたからか、高音質ＣＤだからか、音質という意味ではベンジーの新しい側面が聴こえてきたような気がします。

　このアルバムの曲を演奏するライブを観たいです。来年の1月のライブを東名阪のホールでするのはこのアルバムの感じを出すためなのかな。絶対行こうと思います。
