2005年初頭ロシアの首都であるモスクワにて、Mogwai、Broken Social Scene、Radiohead、そしてSmashing Pumpkinsをこよなく愛する3人の若者により結成された“Everything is Made in China”。
現代ロック・シーンから隔離されていると言っても過言ではない同地において、myspaceを駆使したオンライン・プロモーションを武器に次第に注目を集めていった彼等は、Sigur Rosを彷彿とさせる壮大なバンド・サウンドに、シンプル且つ実験的なメロディを融合させた独特の音世界で、急速にファン・ベースを拡大。その名は瞬く間にロシアのインディー・シーン中へ知れ渡り、国内で行うライブの殆ど全てがソールドアウトになる程の人気バンドへ成長すると、 Explosions in The Skyや65 days of staticといった、シーンの大物と共演を果たすだけでなく、フィンランドのMonsters Of Popや、ベルギーのOpener Festival、彼等のホームであるロシアのAvant Festivalなど、世界各地のフェスティヴァルへも出演を果たすなど、活動の幅を広げ、ローリングストーン誌のロシア版から、“ロシアのミュージック・シーンで最も成功を約束された新人バンド”と評されるまでに成長していった。
そして2009年6月、これまでにSloan、Godspeed、The Weakerthans、Death from Above 1979、Tokyo Police Club等の作品を生み出してきた、カナダはトロントの名門スタジオ“Chemical Sound”で制作された1stアルバム「4」と共に、ロシアが世界誇る最強のサウンド・テロリストが、待望の日本初上陸を果たす。
