ガイナックス制作によるSFアニメ『新世紀エヴァンゲリオン』を題材にしたビジュアルノベルの移植作。ストーリーは原作とはまったく異なる完全オリジナルで、TV版の第26話を彷彿とさせるパラレルワールドを舞台におなじみシンジ、アスカ、レイの3人がもう1つのエヴァ・ストーリーを紡ぎ出す。ストーリーは、レイを選ぶか、アスカを選ぶか、それともカヲルを選ぶかによって大きく変化。登場キャラクターは16人で、全員アニメと同じキャストによるフルボイスとなっている。グラフィックは、PC版で書き下ろされた新規グラフィックをリファインしてさらにパワーアップ。PSPのレターボックス画面に対応させるべく高画質・最適化も行われている。

私はＰＳ２版を持っているのですが
キャラクター設定や世界観は惹かれるものがあります（アスカはシンジの幼なじみでレイは転校してきた活発少女など完全パラレル設定）
しかしゲームとしては駄作としかいいようがありません。
ぱっとやってみると恋愛シュミレーションなんですけど･･･フラグが全くありません。
簡単に説明すると最終話までにどんな選択肢を選択しても最後に選んだヒロインとハッピーエンドになるということです。だから途中までアスカとラブラブやってても最後にはレイとエンドを迎えられるというしょーもないゲームシステムです。
だからあくまでもゲームとしてではなく、マンガを読む感じでプレイすれば楽しめると思います。

日常のイベント等には満足いきましたが、最終的な結末にはすこし不服です。
シーンをコンプしたかったのでカヲル編もやっていたのですが、最終選択肢がやはりレイかアスカしかなく、結果的にはレイを選びましたがなんの問題もなくクリアできてしまいました。
ほぼ序盤から全員に好かれている分仕方ないとは思いますが、やはり微妙な結末でした。
演奏会や洞窟のイベントに関しては、大満足です。
なので、☆３ですかね。
