2007年に世界を震撼させたロニー在籍時ブラック・サバスの復活=ヘヴン・アンド・ヘルがオリジナル・アルバムとして遂に結実。奇跡が生んだ奇跡。オリジナル・アルバムとしては「HEAVEN AND HELL」('80)、 「MOB RULES」('81)、 「DEHUMANIZER」('92)に続く17年ぶりとなる新作完成!日本盤はSHM-CDで登場!


アーティストについて

2007年にヘヴィ・メタルの伝説=ブラック・サバスの80年初頭と90年初頭、ヴォーカルにロニー・ジェイムズ・ディオ(ディオ)を迎えたラインナップが復活し、「ヘヴン・アンド・ヘル」の名の下に活動を行い大きな話題となった。その後バンドはオリジナル・アルバムをこのラインナップで作ることを決意。ツアー終盤に曲作りを始めた。最初はトニーのホーム・スタジオで、その後ロニーのLAのスタジオで曲作りは行われ、実際のレコーディングは「ディヒューマナイザー」もレコーディングされたウェールズの「ROCKFIELD STUDIO」にて行われたが、レコーディングは3週間もかからなかったという。2009年遂に新たなメタル・バイブルが生まれた!

待ちに待った、へヴン・アンド・ヘルと名乗る、ロニー時代のブラック・サバスの新作。

邪悪なジャケット、そして悪魔に支配され、奴隷と化した人間を描いた内ジャケットの世界を前面にサウンドに押し出したような、ダークでへヴィなリフが、スローテンポの曲に乗って不気味に展開する。とにかく邪悪。全面でへヴィな作品だ。その反面、「 Double the Pain」のようなキャッチーなサビを配した曲や、「 Rock and Roll Angel」の、終盤でアコースティックギターを使用した美しいパートもある。「Die Young」を思わせる「Eating The Cannibals」も収録。

それにしても、６０歳はとっくに超えているロニー・ジェームス・ディオ（Vo）の歌唱力は驚異的である。誰にでも全盛期があり、そして衰えて行くものだが、この男だけは生涯が全盛期であり続けている！

最近よく聞いています。　　みなさん書いているようにヘビィな曲が大半を占めて重苦しいイメージがありますが, あくまでもブリティッシュロックが下地にあるヘビィネスですので私のようなおっさんでもすんなり聞くことができます。　トニーとギーザーはやっぱり個性的で一聴して彼らの演奏だとわかります。　ロニーも勿論いいですよ。これで終わらずできればあと2枚ぐらい作ってほしいなぁ。　とにかく私は好きです。

重厚で劇的
所々に叙情的な演出もあり
Black SabbathやDioのファンであれば、まず買って後悔することは無いと思います
予想を超えた出来映えです
