Macintosh用ユーティリティソフト(メンテナンス・修復・回復)。主な機能は、Universalアプリケーション(PPC、Intelプロセッサ搭載Macで動作可能)、case-sensitiveをサポートするHFS+(MacOS拡張)ディスクの再構築、BTree属性データの再構築・修復・回復、GUID Partition Table(GPT)パーティションスキームのサポート、FileValtとディスクイメージの再構築、MacOS X起動ディスクのユーザパーミッションの修復、損傷したフォルダ階層とファイルと互換性問題の検査など、より効率良く利用できる。また、S.M.A.R.T.監視の他に、内蔵ATAドライブのドライブ温度を監視。

外付けのHDDが突然読み込まなくなり、色々と修復を試みたもののうまくいかず、最終的にたどり着いたのがこのユーティリティソフトです。

私のMacの場合、ディスク起動ではメモリ不足とのエラーメッセージが表示されうまくいきませんでしたが、インストールして起動することでなんとか修復に成功しました。
故障の状況にもよりますが、最終手段として試す価値はあると思います。日頃のメンテナンスにも有効です。

商品の説明にもありますが、機種の中にはディスク起動できないものがありますので、購入の際にはご注意ください。

5.0 out of 5 stars あきらめる前にディスクウォーリア！, 2009/3/29
愛用PowerBookG4（1.67GHz 17inch OS X 10.4.11）が、ある日突然起動しなくなり、いろいろ試しましたがディスクが損傷してしまっているとのことで、全くダメ。HDは壊れてもいいから、中のデータだけは取り出したい！とネットで調べるうちにこの商品のことを知り、最後の望みをかけて購入しました。

DVDから起動させ、再構築を実行すると、ディスクの中身をプレビューしてくれ「早くバックアップをとりなさい」うんぬんのメッセージが出ました。FireWireの外付けHDをつないで、バックアップをとりましたら（ディスクが損傷しているため、コピーの速度はかなり低速でしたが）、ずべてのデータのバックアップをとることに成功しました。

その後、PowerBookG4の本体HDはご臨終、交換になりましたが、中身のデータのバックアップができたので大助かりでした。

また、3年ほど前に壊れて使えなくなった外付けHDを押入から出してきて、ディスクウォーリアをかけてみると、難なく起動。取り出せなくなっていたデータもバックアップをとることができました！
※3年前にデータ復旧会社に依頼したときは「物理的に壊れているのでHDの修理をしてからしかデータは取り出せません。また、可能かどうかもやってみないとわかりません」と言われ、見積もり金額も高額でしたのであきらめていたのです。

それが、3年経つと‥‥。コンピュータの世界は、まだまだ日進月歩ですね。

なので、もしあきらめていたディスクをお持ちの方がいらっしゃったら、試してみる価値はあると思います。
すべての方に有効ではないかも知れませんが、私はかなり強力なソフトだと思いました。

先日、仕事用に使っているG5のバックアップ用ハードディスクがエラーを起こしました。
バックアップのデータを送っている最中に電源が落ちマウントがされなくなりました。
すぐさま起動しましたが、データーが飛んで行くように消えて行き、青ざめました。

「Bツリーのノードサイズが正しくありません」と表示され
軽度の損傷みたいな事がでしたが、First Aid では修復はおろかマウントすら出来ませんでした。

色々問い合わせましたが、３００Ｇのデータ量でしたので10万くらい掛かってしまうと見積もりを頂きました。

すがる思いで、本製品を使ってみまたが
インストールして、ワンボタンでマウントから修復まで完了できました。
確認した限りでは、ほぼ完全に修復できひと安心です。

本当に助かりました

程度や症状にもよりますが、物理的な破損でなければ
HDDをフォーマットしてしまう前に試すのも手だと思います。
