冬のニューヨーク。黒のロングコートに身を包むスミスは、ひょんなことからマフィアに追われる妊婦を助けるハメに。恐妻家のボス、ハーツが送り込む刺客が次々と現われる中、拾い上げた銃で応戦するスミス。ところが妊婦はショックで産気づくや、赤ん坊を産み落としてすぐ流れ弾に当たってあっけなく絶命。やむを得ず赤ん坊を拾い上げたスミスは、なおも執拗に迫る追っ手をかわして昔なじみの娼婦ドンナのもとへ。しかし赤ん坊の命に執念を燃やすハーツは、スミスの居場所を難なく突き止めると、50人の部下を従え襲撃へと向かうが 。

3.0 out of 5 stars 「バカ丸出しガン・アクション映画の決定版!!」, 2009/4/23
いゃ〜近年稀に観るおバカで下品なアクション映画でした(一応褒めてます)。

『男たちの挽歌』のジョン・ウーにしても、『リベリオン』のカート・ウィマーにしても、『ウォンテッド』のティムール・ベクマンベトフにしても、ココまでバカにはなれなかった!!。

もう中二病とか以前の小学校低学年が考え付きそうなアクションの連続!!。
アクションシーンで一々ロックが流れたり、セックスしながら敵を殺して最後に「撃ち尽くした」とかバカ過ぎるっ!!(笑)。

本作が上記監督作品と決定的に違うのが格好良さよりも可笑しさの方が上回っているって事。
他の監督はギリギリの所で「カッコイイ」に留めるんだけど、この監督は完全にバカな方向に振り切った!!。
ある意味尊敬する。

こんなんでよくこのキャストが集まったものだと感心。
アクションの馬鹿さ加減に比べて物語が意外にもアメリカの銃社会を風刺していたからだろうか?。

時間的にも内容的にもサクッと観て楽しめる。
そんでもって「ありえね〜」と笑わしてくれる素敵?な作品でした。

英国出身の実力派クライヴ･オーウェン主演のスタイリッシュなガン･アクション。
「スモーキン･エース」の同様、痛快で何も考えずに楽しめる。
大真面目にユーモラスな設定を織り交ぜ、馬鹿馬鹿しさもあるが、繊細な役から陰のある等身大の男性や歴史物まで何でもこなすクライヴ・オーウェンを主演にする事で、ハチャメチャな中にもキャラクターに一本芯が通っていて面白い。
他作品のパロディ・オマージュとも思える演出も感じられ、ニヤッとする方もいるかも知れない。エンドロールも007を彷彿される。(クライヴも新ボンド役候補だったとか)

北米ではワーナー傘下のNew Lineから直の発売だった本作。国内盤はワーナーから発売という事で実際手にするまで不安であったが、無事に北米盤同様2層　VC-1　DTS-HD7.1ch で登場。
New Lineのタイトルは国内では「ヘアスプレー」がSPEから、「ライラの冒険」がGAGAから発売されているが、いずれも仕様は北米盤と同じ素材の移植となっている様。

画質面では、解像感・コントラスト・立体感共に予想以上の高水準。
キリッとした輪郭、深いコントラスト、奥行き、引き締まった黒などどれも非常に優秀。

どのアクションシーンにおいてもバランスの取れた迫力で聴き応えあり。
低音から高音まで分離も良くクリア。7.1chサラウンドは、やはり音の繋がりが良くサラウンド感は抜群で、HDサウンドを十二分に堪能出来る。
英語・日本語共にDTS-HD MA収録である点も評価したい。ただ、ここは是非クライヴの渋い声をお奨めしたい。

特典は、ほぼ全てHD画質で中々の充実度。メイキングを初め、パラパラ漫画の様に見る絵コンテも面白い。内容はR-15相当の為、それなりの描写があるが、画質･音質面ではかなり満足できる。

(※所有のPS3で再生した際、バグなのか不明だが5.1chで出力された為、X90で視聴)

何の前触れも説明も無く突然始まる銃撃戦!のっけから引き込まれてしまいました!この映画について何の前情報を持ってなくても全然OK、ハマってしまう事請け合い!

クライブ・オーウェンって人をあまり好きじゃなかったんですが(顔)、この役は彼以外考えられない程に決まってます(笑)

他の方のレビューにもありましたが、我が家のSC-LX90のディスプレイでも5.1Ch表示です。『ヘアスプレー』の時もそうでしたが、一口に7.1Chと言っても色々なバリエーションが存在するようで、これらの作品の場合は後方音源の想定がサラウンド・バックでは無くサイド・バック扱いになってるようです。その為、アンプによっては5.1Ch表示になってしまうそうですが、アンプ側で音場補正を的確に行っているのでスピーカーをわざわざ移動したりする必要は無いとの事。サラウンド・バック・スピーカーからもしっかり音は出てますから御心配なく!
