相変わらずリズム取りが凝っています。
しかし全曲通して、ひどくエコーが後を引きますので（特にVO）
洞窟に篭って演奏しているように聞こえ
楽器の音に集中しづらいです。
このエコーを好意的に捉えることが自分には難しかった。
彼らのバックグランドである６０年代ポップソングを
再現する音作りをこだわった結果なんでしょうか？
憶測ではなんとでも言えますけれど、どういう意図があってこうしたのか、知りたいです。
あと、ストリング、オーケストラがいいリズム、グルーヴを
潰しているところもありますから聞かせ所がよくわからずバラバラで
（過剰なカラオケエコーのせいもあります）半端なのではないでしょうか？
やりたい音楽と、彼らの経験が今ひとつ合致していないという感じです。
ザ・チャンバーはプロデュースがばっちりハマってる気がしていいのですけれど
他は疑問でした。
チャンバーは大変素晴らしいと思います。

オーケストラなどを取り入れた場面がすごいです。
ただでさえアークティックモンキーズが放つ音楽は個性があふれていてすごいのに、これはまた違うものを感じさせてくれる。迫力があり、素敵です。
もうたまんないです。

まだ一回しか聴いていませんが、とんでもないアルバムであることは断言できます。

Arctic MonckeysのアレックスとLittle Flamesのマイルズの二人によるプロジェクト、The Last Shadow Puppetsのファーストアルバム。音楽的には前述の２バンドとはかけはなれています。いつも自分たちのバンドではできないことを思う存分やろう、というスタンスのようです。

まず、一回聴いてみて、印象に残ったのは、シンフォニックな曲やサントラからの影響を感じる曲がほとんどだ、ということ。でもそれでいてArcticらしい渋いメロディやおどろおどろしいグルーヴも炸裂しています。

こんな音楽聴いたことありません！！完全にオリジナルな音楽です。

どの曲もなんらかの映像を想像させるようなドラマチックなものばかりで、聴き終えると、一本映画を見終えたような気分になります。（歌詞は知りませんが）
