PS2版の猛将伝や三國無双5SP、Xbox360版のOROCHI魔王再臨などで色々と問題が指摘されていますが、
このソフトは完成度が高く、特に問題もなくスムーズにプレイできます。
難易度もやや高めでやり応えがありますし、
キャラもただ多いだけでなく色分けもされているので長く楽しめると思います。
ただし他の方のレビューにもあるように、一気にやると飽きが来てしまうため、
たまに思い返した時にプレイするくらいが丁度いいです。

敵のガードが固いため爽快感という点では三國無双に負けていますが、
アクション性ではこの戦国無双の方が上だと思います。
XBOX360を持っていて無双シリーズをプレイしてみたいという人には、このゲームをお勧めします。
逆にPS2版で遊び尽くした人は、ゲームそのものは変わってないので無理に買う必要はありません。

PS2版と比べると、
・グラフィックが桁外れに向上しており、敵も遠くまで視認することができます。
　ただあまりに敵が動きすぎるため、攻城兵器があっという間に壊されてしまうので注意して守る必要が出てきました。
・ムービーに関してはPS2版と同じ画質なので期待しない方がいいでしょう。
・修羅属性は猛将伝と同じ仕様になっており、使い勝手がかなり悪くなっています。
・OPは無印・猛将伝の両方がありますが、EDは通常ED・外伝EDともに猛将伝のものしかありません。
・追加要素としてオンライン対戦がありますが、これはおまけ程度で実績にも関係ありません。
・ディスクの入れ替えが無いのは地味に便利です。

あとガンダム無双2との比較になりますが、
個別の攻撃モーションやストーリーの豊富さ、歴史観でいえば戦国無双2の方が楽しめました。
逆にアクロバティックでスピーディーな動き、無双独特のはっちゃけ具合ではガンダム無双2には敵いません。
それぞれに一長一短がありますし、個人の好みにもよりますので、
戦国時代が好きなら戦国無双2、ガンダムが好きならガンダム無双2で構わないと思います。
また、ストーリーにはこだわらず何でもありで楽しみたいなら、
キャラ数が断トツに多く、武器改造などやりこみもある無双OROCHIという選択もありです。

かなりオススメです。
ボリュームもかなりのモノなので、ただ実績解除するだけでもモノ凄く遊べるハズです。
ただ、無双シリーズ全般に言えますが、あまりガツガツすると飽きが早いと思います。
1日の内にあまりゲームをする時間が取れない学生、サラリーマンユーザーなら、この1本で半年は遊べそうですね。

個人的には、たまに無性に遊びたくなるゲームなので一生モノの1本です。

戦国無双2(xbox360版)を既に持っている方は、2400MSPで猛将伝をダウンロード出来ます。
なので、この商品はタイトル通り戦国無双2を持ってない人向けです。
しかし、売ってしまった等で手元に無い方はプレイできないので注意してください。
