統合バックアップ・ソリューション。新たに、システムパーティションを一時的に保護保存して様々な操作を実施できる「試用モード」を搭載。新しいソフトウェアやドライバのインストール、危険なファイルや電子メールの添付ファイルを開くなどを安心して行うことができる。もし問題が起こっても再起動時に試用モード開始時の状態へ簡単に戻すことが可能。
また、バックアップアーカイブの暗号化が可能に。AES暗号化アルゴリズムを使用した強力なセキュリティでデータを暗号化(なし、128ビット、192ビット、256ビット)できる。
さらに、ファイルの抹消やハードディスク全体のデータ抹消機能を追加搭載。8種類のデータの抹消方式でデータを抹消することが可能。

シグナルバーがうるさいとのレビューがあったので、タスクトレーからいろいろポップアップメッセージが出るのかと思いましたら、ソフト本体のメイン画面の帯表示でしたので私は何も気になりませんでした。バックアップの知識や、このソフトの使い方（バックアップローケーション設定、増分とフルバックアップの結合条件など）を多少調べてからでないと使いこなせないと思います。

Norton Ghost 14.0と比べると、設定の手間と知識は大変かかります。True Imageの方がGhostよりも初心者向きだと紹介するサイトを見ましたが、逆だと思います。知識のない家族や友人にはGhostの方を薦めると思います。Ghostは細かい機能がWizardで隠蔽されているので、昔ながらの細かい設定を好む方はTrue Imageの方が良いと思います。バックアップ速度は圧縮をかける限り、GhostとTrue Imageは同等に感じました。画像や動画など圧縮が効果的でないデータを大量に持つ場合は非圧縮にしないとまるでハングしたように遅くなります。これもGhostとTrue Imageとも同じ事です。しまったと思ってタスクを止めようとしてもなかなか止まりません。そのようなレビューも掲載されていますが、データが多い方のレビューだと思います。

フルバックアップと増分バックアップを同時にタスク作成とスケジュールができないようです。調査不足かもしれません。ただ、こうやっていろいろ調べないと機能が見つからないという点で満点ではなく星4つとしておきます。ここでネガティブなレビューを書いている方も、機能や動作がわかりにくいことに起因しているのではないかと思いました。

ボタンひとつでバックアップ！
調子が悪くなったとき5分で復元できました。
こんなソフトも使いこなせなくて☆ひとつをつける人がいることに驚いた。

一度バックアップを作っておくと安心です。自動バックアップもエラーもなく行なえます。
バックアップ頻度も時間も設定でき、バックアップ内容の検査も行なえるので安心です。またクローンのHDDも簡単に作れ、使い勝ってはいいですね。前のバージョンに比べると格段に安定しており、信頼しています。後はバックアップの増分ファイルが増えてHDDが満杯になる前に自動的に整理してくれるシステムがあれば最高です。
