Perfumeからつながってcapsuleを聞いてみました。「L.D.K」以降のアルバムを全て聞いてみましたが、「FLASH BACK」が一番気に入りました。

普通の歌物のアルバムの様に１曲、１曲で捉えると、ボーカルが少なくて、最初は違和感を覚えましたが、アルバム全体で１曲として考えると、違和感なく聞けるようになりました。capsuleの最近の作品は全てそうだと思いますが、アルバムとしては曲数も少なく、時間も短い部類になりますし、一種のコンセプト・アルバムのような印象も受けます。

それにハードな曲の後に、こしじまさんのボーカルが入ると、よけいにグッとくるものがあります。これはやはり中田さんの計算ではないでしょうか？
以前に比べると、かわいい感じの曲は減りましたが、私にはこのクールな感じがちょうどよくて、大変気に入りました。

確かに初めて聞こうと思った方は、過去作から入るほうがいいかもしれません。

初めに言っておきます。ポップな曲は僅かでテクノ主体のアルバム。
私はcapsuleの他の作品を聴かずにこのアルバムを買いました。
酷評が多いですが私は嫌いではない。
レトロな音使いから踊れるようなノリノリな音まで楽しめる。
そんな中、まともなボーカル入りの名曲「eternity」は新鮮だった。
旧ファンの方は駄作扱いだろうけど、純粋にテクノが好きならばレビューに惑わされないで聴いてみたほうがいいかも。
気に入る気に入らないは個人の感性によるものだから。

前作"Sugerless GiRL"や、その前の"FRUITS CLiPPER"よりも
ずっとストイックな感じの、ギンギンのテクノサウンドになってます。

capsule自体に音があるわけではなく、
その時その時の音を出すのがcapsuleだということは、
中田ヤスタカ本人が言っていた気がしますが、
まさに昔と今との変遷がその言葉を体言してると言えるかもしれません。

昔のポップな曲調が好きだった人には取っ付きが悪いかもしれませんが、
中毒性はかなり高い曲ばかりです！

自分のオススメはやはり"FLASH BACK"、そして"Eternity"や"MUSiXXX"なんかも好きです。
