「八反安未果」で検索してみると、この人は、若いながらも、かなり芸歴の長い人のようなのだが、私が彼女の存在を知ったのは、まだ、つい先日、「ＮＨＫ歌謡コンサート」で、このアルバムにも納められている「山のロザリア」を聴いたときのことだった。そのときは、「声量も歌唱力も、まずまずか」くらいの印象しかなかったのだが、放送直後に検索したこのサイトで、このアルバムが発売されていることを知り、カヴァー曲マニアとしては買わずにおれず、取りあえず、買って、聴いてみることにしたのである。　

このアルバムに納められている最初の曲が、「忘れないわ」なのだが、これを聴き出したところで、いきなり、度肝を抜かれた。とにかく、声量、歌唱力とも、「山のロザリア」での彼女から想像していたのとは桁外れに、素晴らしかったのだ。全曲を聴いてみても、この曲がベストの歌唱であり、この曲をアルバムのタイトル名に冠し、アルバムの冒頭に持ってきたという製作者の意図が、実によくわかるのだ。彼女には、この曲のように、豊かな声量で存分に歌い上げる曲が、最も適していると思う。　

これは、言い替えれば、抑えた歌唱法で、じっくりと聴かせる曲には、もう一息の、さらに深い情感がほしいと思わせるところがないではないということでもあるのだが、このへんは、今後、年齢を重ねることで、いくらでも磨かれていくと思う。　

聞くところによると、彼女は、これまでに二度、歌手活動を休止しているのだそうだが、これだけの声と歌唱力を合わせ持った実力派歌手は、本当に貴重だ。こうした歌手が、再び消えていくのではなく、正当に評価され、活躍できる歌謡界であってほしいと、このアルバムを聴いて、つくづく思った。彼女の末長い活躍を、陰ながら、期待していたい。

親から頼まれて購入しました。
年齢的には団塊世代前後１０年がグッとくる選曲のようですが、
その子供の世代である私にも充分聞き応えのある内容でした。
全体的には今風にアレンジされていて、古臭さは余り無く、
それでいて懐かしい雰囲気がしっかり伝わってきます。
この手の作品の場合、歌い手さんは「強烈な個性派」か、
もしくは「楽譜通りキチンと歌える人」のどちらかが良いと思います。
八反さんは後者で、癖のない奇麗な歌声を披露しています。
それ故か、越路吹雪さんの曲などは、ややアッサリし過ぎた感は否めません。
次は童謡作品集なども聴いてみたいところです。

前作以来早何年?八反さん久々のアルバムは昭和カバー。大ヒット間違い無し(笑)。
