有森博は私が特に新譜を待ち望んでいるピアニストの一人である。だけれども2007年11月に発売された2枚(!)のアルバムについては、前もってそのニュースを聴いてなかっただけに、ふらっと入ったCD店の店頭でこれらのアルバムを発見したときの喜びはことさら大きかった。その日、私は競馬で散々負けて、お金の持ち合わせがないところだったのであるが、カードがあれば買えてしまうという現代社会の病巣にあっけなくとりつかれ、即購入してしまった。

さっそく家に帰って聴いてみると、いや、これは良い。もう競馬で負けたことなんかどうでもいい（すいません・・）。有森博のアルバムはその曲目の構成にも彼ならではの卓越したセンスを感じるが、この露西亜秘曲集など実に見事だ。ほとんど知らない作品、中には知らない作曲家もいる。いったいどのようにしてこのように魅力的な作品を見つけるのだろうか？70分を超える収録時間もうれしい。

アルチュニアン、ババジャニアンといったアルメニアの作曲家の作品はなんともオリエンタルなムードだ。その親しみやすいこと。この国にはまだまだ魅力的な作品が埋もれていそうだ。他にもリストのハンガリー狂詩曲はラフマニノフのカデンツァがヴィルトゥオジティを満たす愉悦作だし、ヴィゴードスキーの編曲した「G線上のアリア」の思わぬ美しさにはクラッとくる。また、アレンスキー、グラズノフ、ラフマニノフ、タネーエフの「合作」はショパン・リストらの「ヘクサメロン」の露西亜版といえるもの。聴けるだけでもうれしい。さらにはリャプノフの力作などなど聴き応え万点のすばらしいアルバムである。できれば第2弾を出してほしい、と早くも思ってしまった。
